Cookie Notice

Last updated: May 2026

1. About This Notice

This Cookie Notice explains how Pool Addicts ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit pooladdicts.com or use our platform (the "Platform"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites function efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide analytics. We also use related technologies such as local storage and session storage, which we collectively refer to as "cookies" in this notice.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They support authentication, session management, security (CSRF protection), and load balancing. The Platform cannot operate without them, so they cannot be disabled through our settings.

  • Supabase Auth session cookies — keep you signed in
  • CSRF tokens — protect form submissions from cross-site attacks

Functional

These cookies remember your preferences so the Platform behaves the way you expect across visits — for example, your selected sport view, theme, or last-visited pool. Disabling them will not break the Platform but may degrade your experience.

Analytics

We may use first-party analytics to understand which features are used and where users encounter errors. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals. If we introduce a third-party analytics provider in the future, we will update this notice and, where required, request your consent.

Advertising

We do not currently use advertising cookies, third-party advertising trackers, or affiliate tracking cookies on the Platform. If this changes, we will update this notice and obtain consent where required by law.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some pages of the Platform load resources from trusted third parties that may set their own cookies, governed by their own policies:

  • Stripe — sets cookies on the checkout and billing pages for fraud prevention and to remember payment information securely. See Stripe's cookie policy.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider may set cookies for security, edge routing, and basic infrastructure analytics. See Vercel's privacy policy.

5. Your Choices

You can control cookies through your browser. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies, and configure how the browser handles new cookies. Helpful guides:

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using the Platform.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry consensus on how DNT signals should be honoured, and we currently do not respond to them. Because we do not run advertising or cross-site behavioural tracking, our handling is consistent regardless of any DNT preference.

7. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Platform.
